I wish I had found this very video when I first started training. I was young, dumb and full of injuries waiting to happen. I am so lucky to not have really put myself in a position that resulted in permanent shoulder damage. Sure I have had some small strains but nothing too crazy. Often times I just pushed through my shoulder pain not really knowing what to do about it. Take my advice and change up your program to fit these guidelines next time your taking time off due to an minor strain or pull.
